#29: What a Lovely Monday Evening, Time to Buy a New Christmas Tree
Nothing says “holiday spirit is fading fast” like coming home to find your Christmas tree has fully given up on life. It didn’t just tip over—it exploded. Ornaments everywhere, branches mangled, lights clinging on in pure denial. It looks like it tried to make a run for it and didn’t get far.

And of course this happens on a Monday, the least magical day of the week. Instead of cocoa and cozy lights, you’re sweeping up shattered decorations and Googling “Christmas trees on sale near me.” Sometimes the season gives you twinkle lights, and sometimes it gives you this.
